I'm aware I clearly stole the "Unlimited Match" part from Kof2002um, but that isn't a problem. Also this is indeed a sequel to another full game I had made before, but as for what the first one was, we won't be going into that now.

So, basically, 6 button, cancel normals into specials, everyone should be able to cancel lights into mediums into heavys.

Those jagged white edges on the logo on main menu screen need to be fixed.
Also i would use different thumbs for the char select slots.
Those ones look weird mspainty. There should be official art ones that are better quality out there

From the screenshots alone id say your combo font is too close too your portraits. Id lower that so they're not overlapping.

Err this is not my first project. and it would be nice if you didn't compare my game to that compilation(yes, none of those characters in that battle of chaos thing are original) which has stolen a couple of my previous works lol
2:23, thats my Super Sonic from one of my other fullgames.
I honestly don't like that style of the lifebars really. Also theres no "official" art of fan characters so i don't know what you mean by that

Ahh I see. Good point. The chars aren’t canon so there isn’t decent available art for them to use instead is what you mean. Ok that makes sense. But there must be another way using some better fan art perhaps.
Hmm ok well I tell you what, since you don’t like those life bars, show me a picture of any life bars from mugen or a real fighting game that you do like, and I will show you an example mock up of what kind of life bars you “could” add that would be better than those old ones and fonts you’re using.
I’ve made life bars before so I can mimic any style if I’m given an example.

Update:

OK so I had a play.
PROS:

- Gameplay wise it plays just fine!
- Some characters have air dash, some don't (assuming that's normal) which gives a good balance
- Soundtrack 10/10 zero complaints there - good choice!
- character count is decent, could be higher but I think what you have is right for this project
- stage variety is good, stages are resonably vibrant and gel well with the game

CONS:

- graphical limitations by not using mugen 1.1.
- The game really needs zoom enabled.
- Screenpack needs to be remade to have a more sonic type field
- Also I agree on the lifebar thingee, they need to go aswell
- some fonts are misaligned (e.g char names are almost touching and overlapping the giant VS symbol on vs screen etc)
- As G mentioned, combo font also overlapping
Because theyre chibi characters, unfortunately the gameplay tends to get very dragged out but thats a common issue with all chibi fighters.
Zooming and more wild combat similar to what JUS character games have is much more entertaining and dynamic.

Anyway hope that helps atleast a bit!

I really don't know what you mean by having zoom enabled because if you are thinking of what i think you are, then that would screw up all of the characters super moves.
