I would use imgur but that place converts  any big size png to a ugly ass jpg  with tonz
of quality loss .

But I guess ill make an exeption for for my Asian homie Cheesin 

This is what I had planned for the versus screen and yes watta I wont forget the V.S text lol
I already changed the font color on my end to a purple for player 1or 2 I cant remember im on my tablet. .

If you decide to go with the grainy look, you should probably use Guilty Gear XX's VS theme.






I always have complicated looking VS screen animations going inside my head, but after a few minutes, I forget them. :/

I like the new idea to drop the glow animations, now you could have the versus fonts come in from different angle's and meet. Just food for thought and have them glow a bit.

Great Idea Big boss.
I picked up Adobe After Effects and some Animated Templates for it, that should help me make a nice VS font animation, same goes for the Title Screen.

The logo for it is Rebirth in Kanji metallic don't know  if you went through the whole thread its somewere there.
here is a pic of the Kanji, Ignore the Background it was a step I used to create the font style.

Here is a video of the V.S Animation I made using Adobe AE..


I'm stuck trying to figure out a layout for my Versus portraits. As you can see  when I select Ryo the practice portraits i made overlap the VS animation, and I can't find a way to make the ports appear behind the versus  animation Frustrated 
I might do the ports in this style so they don't overlap with the vs animation, but with a few more modifications.

I could use some suggestions right about now before my head explodes!

EDIT
After trying other portraits like in the video it just might work.
Suggestions would still be helpful.

I put the vs animation to layer = 1 but I guess ports have a higher priority over them.

Are you sure you entered "LAYERNO" and not layer?

Honestly, I have no idea when it comes to screenpacks. I'm pretty sure you can add sprites over the portraits though, maybe you can check out Diss' SP, because IIRC it had an overlay animation over the portraits.

Yeah, check Diss's SP. He added overlays to the 9000,1 portraits during character select and VS screen.

Zomg dat character select animation Dat behind 
It seems kinda missing something though... maybe some movement of grainy stuff or fuzz would help, though it's not really necessary since the VS portraits cover up most of the screen :)

Just a question though... why did Chun Li come up when you selected Ryo? ._.

Ok so i figure out what was wrong, guess I was being a dumb ass and putting Layer = 1 and not LayerNo = 1 🇳🇴 
you called it Mark!

Here is two Screenshots do you guys like style #1 with the same versus port for player 1 & 2
or style #2 with different ports for player 1 & 2
I added a pattern and some fx to the ports, I made with a grunge feel to it.

I personally like #1 but different art is always good too.

Watta - Here is a PSD file to make the ports let me know if its a bit confusing it might be all over the place lol
I included bg and vs images so you know more or less were to place them.
feel free to change up my fx on the characters if you can come up with a better one :cheers:

I like the second concept and yeah if you can add the different fx on the characters. That would be cool as long it's not crowed with a bunch of fx's every where. Looking good playa, real good.

Really? you didn't like the stroke on the ports I did crying 
but that's the beauty of a psd you can either use it or don't use it.
I will leave it for as optional if ppl like it they can use it,
