Should probably be clear on which of the pixel works are edits and which are from the ground up.

The Mario, M.Bison and Ryu animations, Dungeons and Dragons commission, SF3 x KoF, SF3 Ryo animation, SF3-styled Darkseid, CvS-styled Raidou are from the ground up.

The rest are split between edits or redraws from the ground up, but heavily referencing existing sprites, almost to the tee.

Appreciate the love, though.

So, I want to focus on making background art this year, so that my illustrations feel less empty.

You can also see that I will be redoing my stage from the ground up. This time, it's more inspired by the NYC stage in MARVEL Super Heroes vs Street Fighter, think of it as a training ground for when I make my stages for my CAPCOM vs SQUARE full game project.

Yes, I am working on this at a egregiously slow pace, a lot of things are being done from the ground up, mainly sprites, stages, SP, and some of the code (a lot of code is referenced, since coding is not my main gig). The game's roster and final boss have been decided, and for the most part it's planned for it play as a mixture of MARVEL vs CAPCOM, and SvC: Chaos. It'll be done in MUGEN 1.1. I had IKEMEN under consideration, but after some testing, I won't look into it any further.

Currently, the first character, Ryu (surprise surprise lmao) is almost 90% done. When I have more progress done for this project, you should expect a thread to open up here, as I'll only be hosting it on NAM, and the new MUGEN.NET Discord (which is run by Jesuszilla and Kamekaze, so another place to get it will be will theoretically TrinityMUGEN, but that'll be very later on).

I post some videos of my progress on the NAM and MUGEN.NET Discords, it's not much, but just some proof that I am working on stuff. Thanks for your interest.

amazing work hatter, i remember seeing your work on the discord in the past. The spriting is amazing and your artworks are very unique and detailed.

One of my friends was also working on a full game project for Ikemen but stopped because of speedbumps he kept encountering.
His main irk was that features and updates constantly get redacted due to bugs, that and the update patch process and the constant wait for improvements or fixes in upcoming builds was hindering him wanting to progress. I think anything made solid in 1.1 can always be easily ported in the future when the engine reaches a stable state

This was the exact same sentiment I had, popped the Ryu character I was working on in IKEMEN Go, and RemapPal immediately stopped working correctly, even though I had it set up for normal palette usage and the Mode Change for Ryu. I read somewhere in the Discord you had to play and resave the .SFF to MUGEN Beta, but that also didn't work. At that point, I pretty much noped.

I definitely am not opposed to porting in the future, if it ever gets to a stable and usable state.

Thanks. I really do make sure to put as much effort as humanly possible into it all, so I'm happy it shows.
