Hey man I downloaded the build you just sent me but there is an error - it says i need part 2 of the archive to continue the extract of the screenpack. the file u sent is only 700mb but i think it should be more like 900 mb. could you double check that and resend me?
UPDATE: Those Originally Newagemugen powerbars edited by your friend were so messed up man I decided to hell with it - I am just going to make you some original bars in the full 1280 x 960 HD resolution for your screenpack.
These are inspired by 3 types of lifebars - the original ones you had, the ones your friend edited, Melty blood, and Marvel Vs series games - but I made these totally from scratch and they are 100% original for DS vs SF - not edits of something that already exists. Also they will be fully animated and there will be more effects/energy etc added shortly. Let me know your thoughts.
Ahh good good. Well if that's the case then I will go into full production, animate and finish these and the rest of the lifebars. Hopefully tomorrow should have some more shots up of them too. its gonna look swish
Hey man, FYI on the progress, i have actually been quite busy with this - The photoshop pictures of the lifebars and powerbars that i showed you before, are now actually coded into the screenpack. I have done some other small updates which include:
- Added the UMVC3 HD Round Announcer graphics to replace the old lowres newagemugen ones used by milt.jr (May add custom ones in future) - Added new player name font - using the VPHD font by V-nix (i think)
Added combo new HD hit fonts as requested ( currently using MUGENGERS 3 HD fonts By Duralminn
Cool they came out great, I know this is a sample to show how the life and power bars would look but are the big portraits boxes still there?, cause I don't want to get rid of them I really like the portrait boxes.
Ahh yeah I was gonna ask about those - I have to re-add the frames and re-enable the 9000,6 portraits. Because the old SP was only Hires - the ports will look smaller in HD unless you remake them all or scale them (which will make the quality blurry) - but if I readd them ad the correct scale they can look something like this? let me know your thoughts
Ohhh I see, honestly I really like the size they were before to be honest I don't really care about the portraits being in HD it's fine with out it, but u think u can put them back to the size they were?.Or you can show me an image on how it would look, I apologize if this is too much work for you :)
Yes that's exactly how I wanted them to be, exactly like that thanks man, Um another thing you think u can add the orange frame around them like how you did in the last image I thought that looked cool for the portrait boxes. I also came up with another idea for the UMvC3 fonts that you use instead having them use in the same color how about changing the READY/FIGHT to purple and white just to give it a differet look what do you think?
oh yeah dont even worry about those fonts man - they are just temporary. I will be making 100% original animations in HD for the rounds in adobe after effects for this. I just wanted to get them there in the mean time so i can finish fixing the continue/select/options screen and vs screen so the HD all works and u can atleast start playing with it all working proper. Ill do the frames too
Alright cool bro that sounds great, I really want this project to be lit man that's why I'm going hard on it this would be good for the mugen community. Also when u get these other things done like you said the fonts, the continue/select/options screen and vs screen i'll like to see some images of it

Thanks my man! But guess wot then m8. If you think they look ok now, I haven't even started to animate them yet! Once I throw them into after effects, shit REALLy gonna go down/ I am converting Swaggas entire Sp from 640x480 to 1280x960, so as you know, i have to remake EVERYTHING literally. I just want to get a fuully playable build to him first, then over time we can slowly add all the extra candy. If you watch swaggas rant video, he explains the history behind those giant portraits which u probably mean mugging atm lol They are purposelly oversized as a reference to an old 2006 WIP of somebodys that inspired him -which now totally makes sense to me - still i would like to remake them in a HD flashy style all in the future after all the main stuff is done.
Another small progress update. I have just taken a quick break from the lifebars to start also on building the select screen. As you know, now that we are using Full HD resolution, all of the menu screens have to be remade from scratch - meaning I cant use any of the old Hires stuff that Milt JR made you. That is no problem as most of it is easy for me - it is just the positioning stuff and fonts that takes time. Anyway, I have done the hardest part already for the select screen, which is recreating all of the frames, and making them position the character portraits and stuff properly. Of course we have infinite possibilities here - if there is anything in particular you would like on the select screen let me know - otherwise I will just do my thang. We can add flashy animated backgrounds and stuff in the future if you so want - for now though I want to get the basics there so the game is playable as soon as possible for you.
