I guess i would have had to make this one day or another.

For this you need a video editor. Me I work with Sony Vegas Pro 9.

for this tutorial we are going to assume this:
--> You just created your 120 frames animation in AVI format "full frames uncompressed"

Now open your AVI file with the video editor:








You must end up with 100 frames exactly in this case, otherwise you did something wrong.



SAVE AS "IMAGE SEQUENCE" in a folder. You will obtain for example, 100 images in PNG / BMP format. These images are the images of your new perfect lopped animation. (obviously you will have to turn them into pcx later but it's very easy if you batch process it)

Yea this is a nice tutorial and i actually feel the same way as WLB with having lack of resources and ideas, that's actually why i was going to stop doing mugen. I've haven't had any inspiration to actually finished any of my stages or do a really good stage in a while as well, i just been in a lazy mood lately. I got about maybe like [estimate] of 10 to 15 stages that's in W.I.P and about like 30 images that can be turned into a stage. I also still need to work on that screenpack as well Lol maybe one day i will finish them all or not.

Many people have particle illusion which allows you to create great looking effects.
Paradoxically the only guy I have seen around using nice effects is Ex and he doesn't even use PI that much...

I hope that this tutorial will allow you guys to unleash the enormous potential that PI gives you. No more excuses for animations ressources.

I can believe you guys when you say you lack ressources, I feel the same sometimes, but don't tell me you lack ideas... wtf.

Think about the last nice stage/environment you have played in a video game lately, or a nice landscape you have seen in a movie/anime lately -

There you go...
You have a stage idea... DONE (for the concept part). Now you go on google and gather pieces by pieces the elements of the stage that is in your mind.

To expand and make it easier to loop animations here is a looping script for adobe after effects users.

All you have to do is download the script im giving you and extract it to
[ C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CS5.5\Support Files\Scripts ] or where ever you install your after effects files in the script folder.
Close that window and open your video of your animation in adobe after effects, click on files and scroll down to where it says scripts and click on [The LoopMaker].
Then a window will pop up all you have to do is change the [ Loop dissolve length (in frames) ] number if you want to.
When your done click on loop once, then close that small window.
Near the time ruler make sure you move the work area end bar to the end of the video and under your video bar their should be two small diamonds move the last one to the end of your video as well and thats it.
To preview it go to the preview panel on the far right near the volume button change the loop options button to loop and hit play.

If you like it you can go right ahead and render the video. Then convert them into images for mugen.
