okay so my issue/hiccup is that i need to use BGCTRLS for what i wish to do, but 1st, some imagery:

not tha final main sprite, but i'm lazy, so...

ok, so what i wanna do is have Guardian L & Guardian R slide towards tha Fortress opening to seal it off/closed shortly after tha 1st round starts, with a rumbling/shaking effect, especially as they collide/shut. i know it'll require BGCTRLS, which is not in my wheelhouse, but i wanna comprehend how to make this possible. somebody wanna help ya boi out?

weeell...you could do this via the anim code and not even use BGCTRL since it happens once and then never to be repeated soooo, just have an animation code that doesnt reset and stops after one cycle.
