Hey guys, I just wanted to pass this on from Aumio regarding a comment he sent me from a video that a youtuber made.
The user name is RAW Gamer and they made a comment about registering to this website.
If you guys could look into this and give some feedback and we will pass it on that will be great!

I don't see the issue. Whats his problem with filling in a few fields?
Also I find it most funny is how he didnt even mention Mugenguild.
He only compared us to MUGEN warehouse websites smh.
Which tells us all you really need to know about his intentions lol

In an age where most people dont seem to even want privacy anymore with the way we use social media, i find this interesting that someone would feel such a way about a few trivial registration text fields that dont even require that much personal info at all.
But i agree with CancerMan that he/she/they probably just want download links and no interaction with the site and to remain anonymous

People will complain about one small thing that they dont like no matter what.
When they complain they should have to say something positive at the same time.
you cant please everyone. But you can please yourself.

Regarding Registration:

Newagemugen is a public forum and does not require anyone to register an account for access.
This is explained very clearly in our rules & forum information topics and also on the registration page T&Cs.

Registration is only required by active, passionate, positive Mugen members and creators that want to join a positive community and intend to post, interact, and contribute.

Of course registering does come with the obvious benefits of gaining access to some download links or other mugen information as an incentive.
Our forum itself was completely redesigned in 2018 with the sole purpose of promoting and helping its members, and offering them a platform to showcase their talents, skills, make new friends & enjoy a problem free amazing Mugen and Graphics community.

As far as our account registration requiring too much information,
Since 2010 up to 100 New accounts register every month (average of 30-50 per month).
Anything from 30-50 dead/inactive/bot/spam accounts are also deleted every month.

The point here being that despite how many new accounts are registered or removed every month,
there has never been any issue with the registration process or complaints.
Furthermore we have had almost no issues with Bans, warnings or inappropriate behavior on this forum for over 6 years and counting.

In the comment from this user, 2 of the most well known Mugen warehousing sites were mentioned.
Newagemugen's founding members have made it very clear since the beginning that
Newagemugen it is not a Mugen "warehouse" site, nor intends to become one.

In summary, as no evidence points towards this increasing/decreasing our average registration/account deletion statistics,
we respectfully do not see any issues, nor intend to make any changes to the registration process.
