alright ladies and gentlemen,
as of this week we begin working on the 2nd part of the core fight.def, specifically the lifebars.
As you know, we have already finished the beta version (unanimated) of the tag mode lifebars.
Now, we will continue by creating the SINGLE MODE lifebars!

For the single mode life bars, the idea is to keep
consistent with the battle cry style we created for
the tag mode lifebars but also bring a new shape and design to the table,
so that no matter what team version both players are using,
Everything looks aesthetically matching to perfection lol.

Also once we have completed the bar design and tested to make sure
That it fits in with all the other things on screen,
Such as the wins counter, combo font and score,
We will create the custom portrait editable system!
Now I have a very unique customisable idea in mind
For this, so stay tuned and let’s get crazy 😜

ALrighty!
Back from the mountains it is lol! And we have been busy going through the steps of forging new lifebars. Lets journey:

1. First and most importantly was coming up with the base shape concept:

2/ Secondly, is creating the empty lifebar space and be sure it matches the other tag bars too

3. Adding the glass trimming around the empty HP container

4. Naturally of course, coming up with the Full HP energy (which will be animated later on in the project)

5. And of course, the Damage HP (same as before)

So now the only step left, is to put it all together, code it up and see it all fits!
There is one other small eaddition i will be adding to make the life seem more 3D, which will be shown in the final demo

Well it there is going to be much progress in the next few weeks, because we are getting close to 50% complete!
My goal in the next two weeks, is to complete the base mode of all of the life bars for all modes, to prepare for the Beta release version.
In the final version of course, all the life bars will have advanced animation updates, and much more fine details, but because everyone is already been waiting very patiently, I want to move on to the other parts of screenpack first before I go back to add the additional fine details.

So as we are in a new week, it is a new week to continue progress!
Also, there will be a few extra surprises releasing this week for our VIP members too :)

Luckily, I will be using the same Backer plate system that I used in the Tag mode lifebars so that all modes of lifebars will match well with each other, incase you want to do custom fights, like tag mode versus single mode. and things like that

And now, we have it all put together and functioning as it should.
The next test will be see what its like in action ole!

As you can see, i have created the single mode portraits which can be edited and created using the photoshop template that will be provided oin release with the screenpack.
There is one more small edit that I want to do next to the bar and above the portrait, which may change in future updates, but will fill a space for now.
I will add it and then upload a test footage video next!

Everyday we are up in them Mugen mountains son! (except weekends l3l)
In our minds, its still MGS 1 and we are still trapped on shadow moses island with a cardboard box and some newport coolies on max difficulty not backin down lol.
So here is the test of the new single mode bars, with portrait templates all complete and ready to go

I couldn't have played it with my current old pc, June and the final date for my ultra config.
currently i have one:
windows 7, gtx 660 ti, i7 3770k, 16gb ram
and an old motherboard
what i will have in june:
windows 10, rtx 3070, i9 10900kf, 32gb ram
excetera, a big config I wanted to talk about because I should have had it in February but I had a hard time deciding on the components, I'm still saving a bit, with this config I'm going to have fun like crazy, I have can't wait to be in June.

Thats exciting news to hear!
I only have one small suggestion i would recommend you my friend.

If you are spending large sum of money, i would strongly suggest donot get RTX3070.
Save you money and wait a little longer to afford a RTX3080Ti.

I will tell you 3 reasons for this:

1. It has 12 GB of video memory - this is ewxtremely important for OPENGL technology of Mugen 1.1 and running high quality HD content.

2. The price difference between the cards is small, considering you will have this PC for many years, so for a small increase spending you have much improved PC life for the next 3-5 years.

3. That video card will allow you to run all new PC video games that will be released for the lifetime of the Playstation 5 console.
Mymeaning of this is, the RTX3080 can be compared to a Playstation5 Pro console if it existed.
An RTX3070 is still good, but for the small increased ammount of money, you will be able to play all new content for next 6+ years with high setting no problem.

This is my experience with buying selling graphics design computers from my old business i worked for. I hope it helps you with this suggestion :-)

thank you very much for this precious advice my friend, it is true that an rtx 3080ti is much more powerful and has 12gb of vram, but the wait is long and my current pc will not last until then, in fact I only turn it on for streaming or playing emulators unfortunately I can't do much with it and believe me I really want to play, an rtx 3070 only has 8gb and is not really made for 4k or the games require a lot of resources but it suits me, I could play in 2k or even 4k on some less greedy games.

No problem my friend, I always like to help mt friends when they buy new computers. The always ask me for advice ole!
For gamer, the clock speed of the GPU is most important (la fréquence d'horloge du GPU).
FOr artist, designer, creator like us at Newagemugen, it is the Video Memory.
We need alot of video memory to create content, and also, Mugen needs alot of VRAM for the OpenGL if you play in 2160p.
One other option for you i suggest is a good idea is to get RTX2080Ti because it has 11GB VRAM.

it is cheaper, and also the performance i think, is better investment and maybe easier for you to find it.
Cost is maybe 2 times more than RTX3070. 2080Ti is 1600 USD. 3070 is 700 USD.
But like you say yes can always upgrade in the future.
