I have been testing 1.1 and how it uses GPU.
I have noticed is that it relies mostly on Vram rather than anything else.

For example,
I use full HD 1920x1080p and the same for system/fight localcoord.
Under these settings it uses 99% Vram on 2 x GTX480 running in SLI - Each Card has 1.5GB Vram.
That means it is using 3GB Vram total when running full frame rate at max resolution.
However, SLI/Crossfire doesnt have any real benefits for mugen - a single card with 3GB Vram would have the same/much better results.
If anyone is upgrading their GFX solely for mugen, I recommend choosing a card with atleast 3GB Vram.
When we start seeing fully animated 32bit PNG 1920x1080/1280x720 screenpacks and stages, I would say that 4GB+ Vram cards would be necessary. Anything above GTX680 is fail safe IMO.

MUhfuggin new Logo.sff for my new 1.1 rebuild. Tekken style thunder cloud animated bg. FF3 chokes when saving more than 10 1920x1080p pngs for animation loops....

yeah man thx - yeah as for the glow, I am adding red as you predicted, but is will be fully animated and the steel parts will have shining animation too. The crown glow will also be animated

The press start & insert coin text will have the exact same animation fade effect as Tekken Tag 2/Tekken 5 DR press start text during the intro etc.
They will be redone with flashier text etc. This is just draft 1. I will up a video when i get a chance but i need to reinstall sony vegas pro - work just real bastardly busy atm. I hadda sick day yesterday and made this lol

Thats a hard Q to answer. I will try and answer it in sesame street language so anyone can understand

There are two types of processor:
1) CPU - your computer chip, like i7 etc.
2) your GPU - your graphics card - radeon7970, and nvidia GTX680 etc

the higher the specs of both, the better.
But for HD gaming, u need a graphics card with alot of VRAM.

The higher the resolution of game/video you are running, the more VRAM you need.
SO, if you are running games in full 1080p etc, you need alot of VRAM to make it all load and run smooth in full HD or the new higher 2160p and 4320p.

Mugen 1.1 for example uses 3GB of my VRAM when I run it at 1080p, but the more animation sprites running at full 1080p at the same time, the more Vram I will need, and there will be a limit to how epic I can make my mugen 1.1.

So go and buy 2 x Nvidia GTX680 or any higher spec Graphics card than that and run them in SLI and you will be sweetlol!

The new Nvidia GTX700 and 800 series card releasing now and after the PS4 launch will have over 5GB of VRAM each! the GTX titan which is out now has 6GB of VRAM!

One thing PhantomD forgot to mention is that you need a shit load of $$$ to buy good Graphics cards and processors (depending on where you live)

I didnt get any problem running HD but when i tried to use fraps at the sametime then all runned slow.
