Still working on an idea for the award system.

I've began more work on the database. I've re-added the DB mods and promoted one willing to help out already. If anyone else is interested lemme know! There's no rush, it's currently private, it won't be out until we've stabilized it more.

So I've been talking to SyN and he's going to be helping us and vice versa.

A lot of things are still in the planning stage, but we're contemplating a database merge somehow. Since the database here isn't taking off really. I'm still working on the awards idea, I've got nothing, any ideas? Suggestions? Help? Anything works.

Database merge is pointless, I don't see how that's a good idea seeing how JayJay was the only one contributing to theirs which has become useless with all the broken links.

I prefer just concentrating on This forum's own Database, if it's still not working out, then put it to the side for another time.

Yeah good point. I truthfully hadn't been aware of their database. I didn't know JayJay was the only contributor.

I agree with Zeroz, we should keep our own database, maybe we could have a link or something to SyN's out of respect or something?

You misread. Laharl, Dissidia and I have been helping occasionally as well.

Also, I don't think giving regular users access just yet is necessary considering it's quite weak. If anyone wanted to contribute I've sent messages in posts, through facebook, via chat and in PM. I'm sure they'd contact me. So we'll keep at it how we are now, we just need more people willing to help build & maintain.

Thread's are automatically split and locked via forumotion as you can see in random section. If I can fix that limit I'll do so soon enough.

Fixed images in the mean time, they're resized to a better and more viewable size with an enlarge option. No more thread extending and spoiler requirements!


Also fixed the poll limit from 10 to 50. Obviously 50's quite an unrealistic number but it's the limit so I set it max.

An easier way for users to respond to several quotes. You scroll up to the posts you want quoted, hit the multi-quote button, manually "Add Reply" (not using quick reply box at the bottom of the page) and they'll automatically enter.

Forum updated completely, Diss and I did this overnight. This includes colors, buttons, text, we've also added PSN and XBL tags to profiles (even though it's just a simple text), intensified rank colors, added facebook and youtube buttons to row navigator and we're still considering more fixes in the future.

Any feedback can be posted here.

While I do prefer the font of the older I like how this looks, feels more organized and not as compact as the last theme, personally I like it, forum did need a change. :P

The older font we had was Arial, at 11 point size. I looked into similar and basic fonts that a lot of others would use. So currently we're using 13 size helvetica.

The new look is tight, homie! I'm wit it.

We've only got 4 things left to fix in the future:

1. The dark overlay over all the pictures can be very tedious. We've been unable to remove it though, it may be a theme thing we've got to get used to.

2. A new competition winner icon, not that crappy little trophy.

3. New rank designs, our old ones are getting kind of clashy and annoying.

4. Perhaps change the domain name if i have the time/money? This is a huge maybe though.
