So I was pondering this thread the other day. Basically I've realized there's a lot of characters from fighters that I've wanted to be good with but could just never get used to their move list or game play enough to make it possible. Here's my list:

KOF 98:
King. For some reason I've always wanted to be better with her in the entire series but I'm just not a fan of how she plays in the games.

Leona. Same as above, I never really liked her move set but I always liked her character design.

Goro Daimon. I've improved a LOT with him over practice, but I've always wanted to main Goro to be completely honest.

KOF 2002:
Only one character: Angel. I've always wanted to main her strictly because of her being one of the hardest characters to use and her wrestling maneuvers.

Capcom Vs. Snk 2:
Geese. I always wanted to main Geese in any fighter he appeared in, but I could never get used to him.

Hibiki Takane. Same as above, never got used to her.

What's your list?

-Setsuna from The Last Blade 2: His move timings are a pain in the ass for me. I get whipped against the AI

-Almost every Tekken character - because the game mechanics are very different from normal 6/4 button arcade styled games.

-Geese Howard - I used to be good with him, but now I can't even do a Rashumon anymore :'(

SF3: Urien. Not being able to pull off Aegis unblock-able combos, advanced Aegis combos and double tackle combos consistently keep me from being good with the character.

Akuma: My overall skill with him dropped a great deal over the years..dunno what happend.

Yun: Keeper-Jin and palm cancels.

Hugo: Gigas Breaker.

CVS2: Morrigan. Dunno why but this bitch is hard to play as in this game.

Garou: Terry, Rock, Tizoc, can play them fine in any other game, Garou? not so much.

Tekken: Heihachi, timing on his moves (omen Thunder Godfist, Just Frame Hell Axel etc.) are waaay to fucking strict.

Yoshimitsu: Mained him for over 10 years now and still have a hard time playing him.

Darkstalkers: Jedah, Go in all agressive? your fucked. Play defensively? your still fucked. *sigh*

Mai Shiranui, back in older versions of mugen 10 years ago. Back then i used to play 2 on 1 on simul mode + AI.CHEAT. But now I am out of shape, since there are greater fighters joined mugen nowadays.

I liked her alot in cvs2 but i could never FULLY use her(in the sense that,I wouldnt pick her if I knew someone I was about to play would get someone like Kim or something and they were good with em)

Capcom:
M.Bison: I can use him "okay" in MVC2 but any other game,Im just no good. Mainly his controls throw me off,but i can spam a psycho crusher just in-case...

Vega: Like Bison, controls throw me off,but overall im just awful with him. Never got the hang of him after all these years.

Tekken:
Yoshimitsu: I'm not terrible with him but other characters always interested me more than spending time trying to master his moves. He has a GREAT moveset IMO and is deadly in the right hands.

Jin: To be specific, Jin after his fighting style change. I used to LOVE using Jin but as soon as that style change happened,I grew to hate Jin. Stopped using him entirely but i've recently started trying him out in TTT2 and he isn't bad,but it's gonna take a min to get used to and memorize the changes. His Omen stance is kinda nice I suppose....

Soul Blade/Calibur:

Voldo. I HATE HATE HATE Voldo. Hated him in EVERY iteration of the game. I used to have Soul Calibur for the DC, the disc would freeze EVERY time it was time to fight him, story mode or versus. Infuriating.

HOWEVER, I played SC4 online a lot and got better playing some pretty good players often, and the host of the sessions mained Talim and was very difficult to beat. When you did beat him,it was a close match (unless
you rung em out) and one day some random kid joined the lobby and used Voldo; he mopped the floor with him and everyone else in the lobby. Since then I've wondered if my hatred for Voldo has blinded me to his possibly great moveset. I still hate his character design. He needs to die. Soon.

Dat Rage

Same here with Bison. I could never combo with the <--charge -->P moves.

My turn.

SF II
M. Bison (Boxer): He has very nice moves. Only problem is that his attacks are hard as shit to do so fuck that shit.

SF Alpha
Eagle and Rolento: They were both the characters I adored in that series. Their attacks were not generic and that's basically the problem, I main the shotos. Sure I can practice them now but why bother, nobody plays SF anymore. (In my country at least)

SF III
Dudley: Much like Boxer, he has very nice moves. It's just that i'm too pre-occupied on using Gill and Urien.

SSFIV AE
Oni Akuma: At first glance, he looked like another Gouki Variant ... I WAS WRONG. Evil or Very Mad

KOF
Benimaru: I'm not that bad when using Benimaru, it's just that i'm not too good either. I wish to get better when using him in the future.

Tekken
Kuma/Panda: I can do basic combos using them (same as wit all other characters), only problem, I ONLY KNOW THE BASIC COMBO. THAT'S IT. NO OTHER MOVES.

Soul Calibur
Ivy: She's a bitch to use. Hard commands and risky moves is not a good thing. But that's the thing that makes her unique. Only Pros use her.

CvS2
Vice: I hated her in KOF, so I never bothered trying her out. But something in CvS made her interesting. I read her command list but I never had the chance to practice it.

Ivy is pretty fun to use Twisted Evil

I find the Drunken Fist style to always look cool but never invest as much time needed to learn the characters that use it (except Shun Di): so the list would be Chin from KOF, Brad Wong from DOA and Lei from Tekken.

I also like Gen but it's hard to combo with all his different stances (one of the other reasons I'm not good with Lei).

I picked up Armor King cause I thought he was cool with the multiple wrestling moves he had at his disposal.

Street Fighter
Vega: Now I've tried all the characters on Street Fighter, but honestly, the character I wanted to be good with the most is Vega. He might be flamboyant but he's a pretty badass character.

Remy: Another character I wanted to be good with.

Zangief: Wrestling has always been in my family's life, and Zangief being a wrestler became one of my favorite characters in the game.

Street Fighter Alpha Series
Rose: Rose is one of my favorite character in the game, but I've seem to have a difficult time using her.

Sakura: Another character I enjoy using in the game. Too bad I'm not very good yet.

Rolento: Pretty badass moves, but I'm truly awful using him.

Fatal Fury Series
Geese Howard: Fatal Fury was my least favorite fighting game, but what kept my eye on about the game was Geese Howard. Awesome quotes, great character, but never gotten good with him.

Duck King: Cool character, design is meh, but his fighting style got my attention.

Garou: Mark of the Wolves
B. Jenet: One of my favorite fighters in the game, but I'm terrible with her.

The King of Fighters Series
Shermie: One of my favorite grapplers and characters in the King of Fighters series. I do have a lot of skill using her but I seem to draw myself back and end up losing.

Chang: Chang is a pretty hilarious character, but also fun to use. However I want to get better using him.

Vice: Vice is my weakest character to use at the moment. I seem to have a lot of frustration using her, but I do want to develop more skill to become better using her.
