Sup guys? Been a little while but thought I'd hitcha with something I've been working on. Today marks the 1 year anniversary of the first stage I ever created. So to celebrate, I decided to give it a huge overhaul. Andore's Arena is now the Metro City Arena. Based on the arena Andore and Poison face King and Murdock in on the SFxT trailer. It's the usual spec: Original Concept, Custom bgm(by Alpyne_D), Animations and Super Jump!

I'd like to thank Alpyne_D and MarkPachi for beta testing and all the great feedback that help make this stage. Special thanks to Alpyne for the bgm. Also to GLB for his feedback on Andore's Arena, which I used as the staring point of this update. Dan Mt.  and Cave at Spriters Database for their Sprite Rips.

Well THIS is the Vegaz I know. A HUUUUUUUUUGE improvement from the original bro, I'm actually keeping it for my personal mugen.

Some minor adjustments:

- Your parallax seems a bit off; the characters still slightly slide.
- Your shadow idea is very nice, but it follows the characters into the background, for marvel characters that could be extremely odd.
- The characters seem a bit too high, maybe lower them a bit?
- Your mediafire link is missing the "h"

It's really a huge improvement, Vegaz. Nice work overall, this is quite something. You've managed to capture my attention, and I'm not even into the old school style. Keep up the good work, my friend. If you'd even like your rank back, I'd say you damn well earned it. Thumbs Up

Oops! Fixing that link right away! Thanks for the feedback and the kind words. You were right. I realized that I'd gotten a little lazy. I don't have the time that I use to, so can't expect to crank out contributions like I did in the beginning. So I decided to put quality over quantity. As it should be.

If the other Newagers agree, than I'll be more than happy to be on the team again.

Just tested this bad boy:

You're still having that silly shadow issue. The way they're being used on a negative y.scale is fine, I know you want it that way it looks dope.

But you have to adjust the fade.range. So you'll have to add this parameter. The main intention of this parameter is to stop the shadows from going into the background, so you can use a fade.range to rid of that.

Also, your tension is at "40" it should be at "50."

Perhaps some more realistic blood spots in the ring on the mat?


Other than that it's all top notch. I'm not too huge on parallax so I can't confirm any errors there, though I don't see sliding. Regardless I recommend checking out "Parallax Jackson" By Ziltama on The Mugen Fighters Guild. Try searching this parameter, it's the most effective tutorial on parallax since every other tutorial is wrong.

Oh yea, the tension. I think you mentioned that before. I overlooked that somehow...I'll apply the fade as well. Glad that you're feeling the shadows, they DO play an important role in this stage. I'll see what I can do about the blood, but I don't want it to clash with the "retro swag" of the rest of the stage. We'll see...
