Somebody tell me how to index 120 images fast. Margatroid sent me the animation for the berserk EVA-01 but indexing it is going to take forever if I did it by hand.

If you have Photoshop, you can create an Action in which you index an image, and then Batch them all. If you don't have PS, send them my way and I can do it for you.

I tried that but the background keeps on coming out as white. I'm trying right now to do the same with irfanview. If I still fail, I'll send them to you. Thanks for the help :)

Took forever, looks clashy, but I don't care. There's already 4 layers just for that single animation and we'll leave it at that for the 1.0 version. Animation is super smooth though

Added the transitions! Almost there now. Just need to finish up with the 3rd phase and tweak a ton of stuff.

2. Tremor Begins + Eva-01's eyes and core begin to glow red


3. Screen whites out


4. Berserk Eva-01 Appears

well it flutters for like around 10 clicks and then it stays white for like 100 clicks (which I will be reducing)

Also, for the batch process in Ifranview, did you make sure your batch outputs color was set to 256?

I think so... could you explain more? I'm still new to using irfanview but I think I did make sure that I set it to 256 colors on the advanced options in the batch window

Holy shit, I just remembered Evangelion's retarded Episode 24. The episode where EVA-01 holds Kaoru for, like, 30 minutes or so while Beethoven plays in the background.

2. Extract the frames (should be under options)
3. Batch conversion(under file), pcx output, make a folder to put the files in, click on advanced under your output format and change it to 256 color output.

Me and Gen were experimenting with Irfanview for like 2 hours trying to figure out how to index the Berserk Shogoki animation with getting green as the color 0 but it didn't work and I ended up having to layer-mask the animation like Margatroid does sometimes.

Good to see that image getting put to use, it was a bitch to clean and I didn't even finish it! -.-

I commend your patience with cutting.

Anywho, you doing transitions or something? I always got the vibe from the street that it was raining lightly. Also, if you're going for 640x480 res on this keep in mind the lens flare/sun effect in the bg will be a very large object displaying (most likely) shiny color loss, unless you found a way around that.

You should try cutting the windows and do a lighting effect going on inside the building. Slow transitions on the street lights from green to red. This would be a stage to effectively use animated cars passing by, though I've never figured out a nice way to replicate that without it being very far in the background (like on a train.) Maybe you can try it out, you might like the way it turns out.

What is gonna happen is this...

-No transitions, gonna keep this simple so I don't rage quit on it again
-The flare will be fine, you'll see...
-It will be raining lightly and the ground in front of the building might have water kinda moving around (dunno if I'll keep this, it'll depend on how it turns out...)
-Gonna get rid of a bunch of them windows and put up a big monitor for some boards which you guys could contribute to if you wanted. I'll put up a template at some point if I go with this idea
-That light idea sounds good with the windows, it seems easy enough.
-No cars, no trains
-Gonna put up a bunch of glows on the lights and the street vendor
-Bunch of clouds in the BG

That's it. I'm not going to add anything else.

I think you should set the big ass light coming from the background to layerno1. I also think that you should add a neat little easter egg on the upper right building. You could add Q from SFIII, or even Mars People from Metal Slug/SNK!
