it kinda was part of a wip stage I've had in mind for some time, but I'm trying to model a more detailed one, this one won't fit the rest of sprite style and was made as a form of test, so I figured I'd share so it doesn't waste, someone may find a good use for it.

I figured I'd make a stage for Berserker. it's something I've had in mind for some time actually.

based on the place of Saber & Berserker final battle.
probable finished result.....I hope.

I have the stage modeled and just finished the fire illumination.

good thing I don't have to pay much attention to textures since pretty much it will be engulfed/ covered by fire, that saves a lot of time
as animation
fire + fire sprinkler rain
not sure if I should add water puddles since it's 3D, I guess I can add it as animated parallax, but TBH I've never done out of shifting flat floor and 5-6 frames, don't know how it would look with more complex animations.

Disregarding that, I take it you'll use layers to recreate/emulate the overlay of color from the original?

Honestly i'm not even sure how to respond to the puddle scenario,guess a diff question is "is it worth it?"

yeah, first I need to make a few tests to see if I have to change color/brightness etc, since the fire & smoke adds to the illumination in game.

don't know if I can recreate the fire really, my problem are the particles used to make it....
my pc last DAYS to render an animation with good quality and sometimes the program even crashes if there are too many particles.
If I can't I guess I'll just use some fire footage.

It's good that you're trying it out first, also footage fire can work well for this concept as a back up if it comes to that. I appreciate all the small details and I can't wait for this. What a Face

might change the original color & design, after seeing some more scenes to a (IMO) better looking one, so the heat haze is more noticeable, anyway an early alpha.

need to practice more metal stuff, getting the armor right was getting annoying.

.....Now, if I could figure how to make fog wrap around to make him look badass....

might consider adding him to the stage, while I usually don't like the idea of having characters in the BG standing/sitting/whatever around like idiots, I kinda want to see if I can make him react to the stage according to the position of the characters.though, I still suck at animating characters, so it will take some time.
