Been getting into rendering images lately, maybe ya'll can give a few pointers to getting out smoother edges and such.

I'm trying to get requests so people don't have to go through the tediousness of doing it themselves but I do want to give them good renders, so that's all I'm asking here.

Hmm. Do you use the pen tool to render or do you use the quick select tool?

Hmm Polygonal lasso for most of them, I despise using the quick select tools on bigger stuff.
Also pardon me sounding noobish but what is the pen tool?

Hmm. Not sure how to describe it. It lets you place anchor points on the image and you just keep going until you have your outline. A more time consuming but ideal if you don't have a steady hand.

Ah ok I know what you're talking about. Haven't gave that much a shot, I'll try it out since larger images give me a hard time.

Yea. All my renders were done with the pen tool and they come out awesome. It's not too difficult.

Well this took me a while but trying out the pen tool it really did make things easier, not too proud of the edges. Thanks for the tip TP, much appreciated. Now to actually get more practice at it @__@

That's awesome Nero! I desperately want to learn how to render images. It would greatly enhance my work. If I could learn the basic, I could REALLY represent forum NewAge homies, ya dig Dat behind
