Both tracks are good choices. Neue Ziel theme is my favorite track from that game. Too bad that soundtrack is so rare. You got it in mp3/wav or any other format?

Hopefully I won't be much of a hassle but try downloading "Freemake Video Converter 1.0.0", it converts any Youtube, Veoh, Dailymotion, etc Video into any type of file, from AVI to MP3, you name it. Trust me, it's VERY useful when making Mugen content, for me at lease. What a Face

And it's just an Extension file for Google Chrome.

to obtain a dark sprite code it with trans = sub. this is what i used in stages where i want the screen to be darker

one thing that some people don't understand when they make stage is that they need to anticipate the effect of the tint they want to apply.

Their mistake is that they make the stage look just like they want, and then they apply a tint and suddenly it changes everything and they are not happy so they decide to forget about the tint.

the result looks stupid because the stage clashes with the characters. They fail because they didn't anticipate the effect of the tint while preparing and making sprites.

example = if you know you're gonna apply a dark tint, then make your sprite brighter on purpose. it will look too bright by itself, but once the tint is applied, the stage looks perfect.

I can tell you right now that if you apply a dark tint, your stage will look way too dark. you apply a tint to darken the characters but it's useless because it dakens the stage as well... so the solution is to make the stage brighter first and then re-make it dark with the tint.

Call me lazy but here's what I did.
I made a solid color grey sprite and then coded it this way.

Spoiler:
[BG Shadow 1]
type = normal
spriteno = 0, 11
delta = 2,2
trans = add
tile = 1, 1
mask = 1
layerno = 1

[BG Shadow 2]
type = normal
spriteno = 0, 11
delta = 2,2
trans = sub
tile = 1, 1
mask = 1
layerno = 1

And so, the only sprites that'll be affected will be the characters' sprites.
What do you guys think? Was that a good move or a bad one?

Anything behind a sub is annihilated... just keep the sub one. This one is not only useless but on the top of that it will contribut to slow down fps.

what is the tile code for ? might wanna remove that and just use a sprite that is the size of the screen. that's usually the way we do it.

That was intentional. I added the Trans = add because the brightness of the stage is just right imo.

Well, okay. I'll fix it. I added the tile code because the sprite is too small. Why did I even do that in the first place? scratch

So, i'm having a problem making the GN Particles sprites. When I convert the .AVI file to .PCXs, the sprites become a 4x4 px pcx file. Anybody here know how to fix the problem?

This new design looks awesome. Truthfully, I think the old one was pretty dope, too. It sucks that you lost it. Do you still have that song I mixed for you?

The good news, I found a copy of the stage. The bad news, it's an old, crappy copy.
If you want, you can have the stage and I dunno ... you can work with it.
