Got another one guys, its still unnamed for now.

I got nothing for the background. :|
I was thinking that I should use an animated sky bg.
Sadly, I don't have that kind of resources.

Oh and how do I convert .avi files to pcx?

Well I was but its just that I can't seem to find a right place for the characters.
Bummer.

I'm seriously having a hard time making a decent stage.

I think the third one looks best.

Okay I might gonna sound mean but I think people would know by now that I got better things to do than to post just to sound like an ass so this is obviously to help you:

- The sprite looks nice but it's not good enough to act as a floor (especially the bottom right part..) So you gotta either change your idea or add another sprite in front of this one to be a floor for your characters. No zoffset will help you unless it is incredibly too low.

- putting this sprite problem on the side, I am wondering why would you need help from somebody else to set up your zoffset ? As GLB said, play with the value and see by yourself. Press CTRL+F4 each time you "change and save" the value in the DEF file.
(CTRL+F4 reset the stage, i used to open and close mugen before knowing this trick and it was very annoying)

- Talking about the DEF, I HIGHLY SUGGEST you use "notepad ++" if you don't, download it. It has many useful tools that save people a lot of time.

- You had 3 nice concept stages last time, what happened ?
Generally speaking I believe it's preferable to avoid working on 10 000 WIPs at the same time because it's the best way not to finish a stage.

And as I've pointed out several times, we're here to help but if you get extremely down in the dumps with it try reading the Cybaster Tutorial in the help section. I even quoted and edited it all to be set on this forum so you don't have to even follow any links.

If you don't want to do that, trial and error is the only way, my friend.

Because i'm not really the best at mugen and I thought someone here could help me.

Okay, i'll download it.

@jeanbureau wrote:You had 3 nice concept stages last time, what happened ?
They were pretty tricky to make and so I just set them aside for now.

^This is kinda one of my problems.

I was playing around with Mugen, then something amazing happened ...

Spoiler:

^ I'm planning on adding some kind of "water" effect on the floor, what do you think.
Oh, and also a Red-ish tint so that ... well, you know. What a Face

How do you convert a .avi file into a batch of .pcx image files?

I did it with InfranView but when I added the sprites to the SFF, some of the images doesn't show up in-game. Does anybody know how to fix it?

And as for my 3 old WIPS, it seems that I deleted 2 of them. The Christmas stage and the one with the Big mech. Fail
The Bar stage, I managed to recover.

You can use Bink and Smacker program to convert your .avi to .pcx images as well.

Animation Shop Pro 3. It's the one I use and I find just awesome. It's specialised for GIFS and animations.

Just to show my appreciation for you guys. :pirat:

I planning on adding some billboards, sorta like what GLB did with his Night Riding Stage.
And yes, you can submit you billboard designs here. What a Face

That's an interesting design there, what are you planning to make with the stage? A train would work well if you plan to add billboards

Those look kind of like MOTVN buildings. Which wouldn't be good if they were.

Also, the bg can be replaced or even darkened/saturated and some color loss can be removed that way.
