UPDATE:

Hello everyone. Just sharing some information regarding works in progress.

The to do list:

- Finish Night Riding Update. - COMPLETED

This is first and foremost (it's very near completion! I don't wanna show any shots, I'd like the members to be surprised for the Newage Mugen release pack our staff/special members are conducting! study) I've been busting my butt off applying feedback and ideas into it. Hopefully it turns out to be something enjoyable.

- Urien SF3:TS Remix.

I have the concept already, I can show that:

Spoiler:

The stage will consist of shooting stars, the layer no 1 grass, a colored fog layer behind everything along with deltas of course. I kind of had a random epiphany with this concept while out-and-about. I thought it may fit, i like the way it turned out. So I'm currently spriting it.

- Collaboration with Waffles and AZ.

This is all based on AZ's free time and when he's willing to do some rendering for me. The stage will be lores and based on one of Waffles stages in his resource pack. There's not enough done to explain ideas or progress yet.

- I've been contemplating stage updates.

This is last on the list mainly because I haven't had any idea on what stage I'd update, nor have I been concerned (given the other amount of WIPS I have.) If you have an idea or request for update drop a note here and I'll let you know my decision and reasoning.

I know i mention it a lot, however if you have any ideas regarding SF3:TS remixes let me know and we'll discuss a concept.

I'm still gonna bitch about the edges on that moon. If you plan to fix, then ignore this part of my comment.

Guess this will be interesting to See GLB.

I do plan on it. It's all sprited in mugen, I just need to fix my foreground, and moon, then add in shooting stars and find a bgm.

Night riding is done. study

Most of the things I make are 1.0 compatible but originally coded for WinMugen Plus.

So if Plus, it is Hi-Res.

Sorry I haven't posted here in a while. I'll reveal some of my current work, I guess. My plan was to update a majorty of my stages for the 1000 member pack (you've probably seen it by now) The planned updates in order of work put into it already or completed:

Night Riding - Completed.

HELL - Nearly completed. Right now i'm focused on replacing/fixing the current fire I have, i'm not 100% sure if i'd like to keep it or not.

Spoiler:

Top:

There's only been a slight update since that shot and it's a darker color for the chains, and i colored the bats black.

Rooftop - Nearly completed. I do not have a screenshot currently because i'm still working on creating a yellow flashing light effect in the windows. I desaturated the buildings, removed the cloud reflections recolored the sky, updated the sprites, and fixed the rain/puddles. What's left is the lights and a bgm replacement.

Next in line would be City's Buildings. My plan for this is fixing/cropping some sprites, building and sky replacement, firework replacement, maybe some new effects (billboards in the back of the city, clouds, spotlights) stuff like that.

After that i've got an idea planned for Samurai Palace. I'm going to change the concept up a bit and change it to day time rather than a storm. Maybe add some kind of japanese-esque daytime items in the BG with a lens flare and sunny sky, and a replacement floor instead of the current terrible rooftop floor. Then maybe some recoloring on the palace, some birds, some vegetation (grass. bushes, etc.) Something along those lines.

Next on the list i'd say is Desert. I have little plans for this. I'm just removing the birds, adding a new less color lossy bg, a better lens flare, maybe some more desert-esque material.

That's pretty much everything "Official" for now.

The contemplating has been with updating:

Calignious Lake
Snow Chapel
Destruction

I'm only contemplating because I have ideas for each i'm just not sure if i'm willing to do them yet.

Calignious Lake: My plans would be to take the original bg and render the forest bg out of it and add my own (for more life like deltas, deltas are always nice) and some minor tweaks with the fog and add a night overlay. That's pretty much all i had in mind.

Snow Chapel: I will speak to Dissidia about this every once in a while. We're both very busy with other WIPS so we haven't payed much attention to it. However if we were to update it i suppose my plans would be to make the Snow move differently and more variated. To get a different background and chop it up for less loss. Remove those black outlines around the window, maybe a very dim fog layer inside the castle, darken the bats and maybe remove the intro.

Destruction: Plans for this would simply be remove the glow effects on certain parts since they're really lag happy. and shorten by backgrounds and crop my sprites to prevent lag, and probably find new shorter fire and remove the birds or add new ones since i overuse the crows a lot.

Other ideas:

I always keep an eye out for Waffles releasing more material because i've always wanted to collaborate with Waffles. So i always keep my eyes peeled for resource packs.

I haven't really thought about doing anything to Japan Train in quite a while. I've considered starting it over. Idk how up to it I am though.

That's the main list for now.

Hell's looking good although the floor feels a bit iffy.. I'd say a bit goofy since it's a picture being tiled.

Looking forward to Buildings and the rooftop progress.

Yeah, hell was just old texture pieces tiled together. I've thought about doing something to the floor, like along the lines of just making it gray or black.

Rooftop is almost done, and my building plans should be good.

Thanks! Thumbs Up

Rooftop's been completed, the lighting effect took a while to get the right position and look I wanted. Finally got it, though.

I'm pretty much done with HELL minus the fire not properly looping at the moment. So this should be done soon.

Buildings will be started next.

I'm not going to be home for about a month minimum so me working/testing things is not possible currently, however the stage itself is in mugen it just needs more finishing touches. It's on my to do list, so I should have something for it in the future.

Thanks.

I figure I'll reveal all of my planned stage information for the next couple of months. Once i'm back home in a month or so i'll continue to do my stage updates and pack contributions. In no specific order:

Calignious Lake Update

- Color overlay (for night effect)
- Darkened boat
- Darkened Crows
- Darkened Water.
- Remade and fixed start position of rain.
- Had BG cut from pillars (thanks AZ) for more deltas in the background.
- Slightly tweaked deltas.
- Slightly tweaked fog code.
- May add glowing red eyes as suggested by AZ and Genesis.
- May add fog in background behind pillars.

Spirit Lake Update

- Color overlay (for blending effect)
- Recolored boat.
- Removed energy(souls) sprites
- Recolored Fog.
- Adding an animated glow to boat (symbolizing spirits)
- Fix the edges on the mountain.
- May change background.

The City's Buildings Update

- Recolor foreground.
- Replace fireworks.
- Replace buildings.
- Add lighting effect to new buildings.
- New sky.
- Add clouds.
- May add some smaller billboards.
- (Whatever else Diss would recommend when he's not busier. I'll be out of coding for a month or so anyways.)

Snow Chapel Update

- Remove black outlines on foreground.
- Replace background and remove partial gradient loss.
- Most likely remove intro.
- Fix snow to move more randomly (realistically).
- Recolor bats.
- (Any ideas Diss may have.)

Desert Update

- Change background.
- Remove current mountains.
- Add 2 sets of new mountains.
- Add a new lens flare.
- Remove birds.
- Maybe add an overlay for blending.
- Maybe mess with sand sprite and remake it somehow.

Samurai Palace Update

- Replace foreground with larger rooftop.
- Rather than rain, have sun and distant japan-esque backgrounds.
- A lens flare.
- Birds.
- More detail on palace sprite.
- Use Jean's newest sun effects tutorial on my sprites.

HELL Update

- I've added chains.
- Recolored bats.
- Added crows.
- Darkened floor and wall.
- Removed "WELCOME TO HELL!" text and added satantic designs.
- All that's left is replacing the fire (I'll probably do this once I see Waffles fire he talked about a while ago.)

Pathway Collaboration With Waffles

I sprited the PSD and put it into mugen, coming to the conclusion of how small it is. I could make it with no bound high, but I don't want to do this. So I have to remake all the sprites in a larger size before progressing. I'll be into this eventually.

Caged Ice Remake (Teros Collaboration)

I've spoken to Teros and we thought it'd be cool for me to remix an old stage of his (Caged Ice) into HR quality and potentially new effects. I'm currently in the works of creating a base to work on (concept image).

Urien:SF3TS Remix

It's in mugen, I just need to replace the sky, fix the stars, add more detail, remove some bad edges, redo the foreground, recolor fog, add more detail to grass.

Gill:SF3TS Remix

Concept created, needs much more work still. But i'm mostly planning a dark, snowy, a sky, layerno 1 statues that will glow animated, animated clouds and a glowing moon.

Ryu:SF3TS Remix

Nothing put toward it yet, just a basic idea for now. The plan would be a regular reincarnation of Ryu's stage (better aesthetically of course) then transitioning into an Evil Ryu version of the stage, a white flash will occur with fire to follow.

I'll have more information on everything when I'm at home in a while. Thumbs Up

Bump.

So I figured I'd talk about what I'm going to do then postpone several of the projects later (just kidding)

I have plans, and ideas, however I'm just going to share the for sure projects right now. I'm not at home so I don't have access to some of my current WIPS.

Here goes the list no in particular order:

FOR SURE BEING COMPLETED:

SPIRIT LAKE UPDATE:

Yeah, I'm just gonna do this. Because I left it on the guild server and told myself I'd update it. I transferred it to this computer. I explained most of my plans above, my intentions for the update haven't changed.

NIGHT FALL (Collaboration with Genesis):

This is also a for sure thing. Genesis and I have already began working on it, and it will probably be my first focus for right now. Depending on how Genesis feels about it, this may even stall on release until part 2 of the release pack, since we're shifting into working on that again very soon.

-------------------------------------------------

Contemplating/Future WIPS.

These are not set in stone.

The City's Buildings Update (With Diss.):

This is getting done. We've both just been quite busy working on other WIPS and add-on's for the Hatsune Miku SP. But we're most likely going to finish the already started progress for part 2 of the pack. So stay tuned.

Himura Kenshin Chibi Stage (Laharl request):

I've looked into it a bit, and it wouldn't be extremely difficult to make. It'd be a lores mugen 1.0 stage for chibi sized characters. I'd customize his source stage with the rips from the game. I haven't began any dedicated work yet, but it'll probably be done in the near future.

---------------------------------------------------

As far as all my talk about stage updating, it's still happening, just slowly. They're all on my other computer, once I have access to them I'll begin working more. I'd also like to address Pathway and Caged Ice. They're not completely set in stone, but I'd like to be a man of my word and finish those stages because they have great potential.

Also, for updates, if any of you care enough to remember my older stages and you'd be interested in seeing an update to it, I may consider it. Please provide a link via PM as well please, because I don't have any of my older stages on this computer and I won't be home for a while.

(Old stages I will not update: Far Away Castle, Spooky Castle, Warriors Stages, N00B Stage, P0RN stage, The City's Windows, Danger Ahead, MBAA Cherry Blossoms, Newage In Hong Kong (I prefer that stage just die, it's terrible.), Great Umayaa Mosque, Crossing, Heaven, Evacuate and Underground Tunnel.)

This pretty much leaves: Calignious Lake, Spirit Lake, Destruction, City's Buildings, Desert, Samurai Palace, Underground Parking, and Snow Chapel. All of which I've either contemplated updating, or already started on my other computer.) HELL has already been nearly completed. It's just not with me. Evil or Very Mad. I've also promised certain members i'd extend the width on Rooftop if a certain something is provided. You know who you are Thumbs Up. This is all my memory conjures up at the moment, feel free to refresh my memory if you care enough to address this.

And yes, your third strike remixes are coming, shut up, I'm slacking on these.

Update:

Himura Kenshin Dojo Stage (Laharl Request):

Spoiler:

Spoiler:

I started on this because it was rather simple, I've got a very dim fog and the sign glowing. I don't know much else I could do with it, and I think given how it was very dull in the source game and I went custom with it, Laharl won't mind much.

Now that the Dojo is nearly completed I figured I'd start on the next fast work which would be the rooftop update, I'll probably get that out of the way and then continue to work on Night Fall. I will also be working on Street Fighter The Movie game stages possibly, since rips have been provided and I thought it'd be fun to tamper with something everyone hates, lol. I'll probably work on Spirit Lake simultaneously with Night Fall, considering it's only updates and they're faster anyways.

Suggestions are appreciated.
